Did you know that lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in both men and women worldwide? In honor of Lung Cancer Awareness month, we welcomed Dr. James Stevenson from the Taussig Cancer Institute.

Many times lung cancer doesn’t show any signs or symptoms but there are a couple things people can keep an eye out for:

Sudden coughing
Coughing up blood
Shortness of breath
Unexplained weight loss
Hoarseness when speaking
Pain from areas where the cancer had spread (i.e. chest, back pain)
