- 1 1/2 – 2lb smoked cottage ham ( shoulder butt )
- 1 -2 16 ounce bag extra wide egg noodles
- 6-8 Tablespoons margarine or butter per layer I use a big gravy spoon
Put ham in pot with 4 quarts of water boil for 1/2 hour to hour.
Remove ham from water DO NOT EMPTY WATER
Return water to boil add noodles cook 7-8 mins.
While noodles are boiling grind up ham in grinder or food processor.
Drain noodles DO NOT RINSE.
In the same pot add half the noodles , margarine , ham mix until margarine is melted.
Add remainder of noodles margarine and ham mix to combine all.
