Obama Cancels Ohio Visit Due to Storm
AKRON, Ohio — President Barack Obama has canceled the campaign stops he was supposed to make in Ohio on Wednesday.
According to a statement released on Tuesday from the press secretary, “The President will remain in Washington, DC on Wednesday to monitor the response to Hurricane Sandy and ensure that all available federal resources continue to be provided to support ongoing state and local recovery efforts.”
President Obama was scheduled to speak at the University of Akron’s James A. Rhodes Arena and also make an appearance in Cincinnati.
Those are just two of the many events that were canceled between both candidates because of the superstorm.
