House Fire on East Side Ruled Arson

CLEVELAND — A house fire at a vacant house on East 48th Street and Cedar Avenue in Cleveland has been ruled an arson.

The fire was reported at around 2:45 p.m., and firefighters battled it from the ground and from ladder trucks.

Firefighters said home was vacant, and neighbors said it has been for several years.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known, and firefighters said due to the large amount of damage, the investigation could be lengthy.

There were no injuries.
