CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — A bomb squad was called to a Cuyahoga Falls home after authorities found pipe bombs and bomb making materials Saturday.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Washington Avenue and 11th Street at approximately 5 p.m. after receiving a call about a disorderly patient.

Emergency personnel found what appeared to be five pipe bombs and nitro, a substance used to make bombs, inside the home and called in the Summit County Bomb Squad.

The bomb squad confiscated the bombs, chemicals and a small marijuana grow operation.

The disorderly patient, David Dougherty, 49, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of dangerous ordinance (a fifth-degree felony) and illegally manufacturing or processing explosives (a second-degree felony).

The investigation is ongoing, so Doughtery could face additional charges.
