Is Oscar Winner Calling it Quits with Wife?
Russell Crowe may have won an Oscar for his powerhouse performance in Gladiator, but he lost out in saving his marriage, PEOPLE reports.
The New Zealand born actor, 48, and his Australian musician wife, Danielle Spencer, 43, have reportedly called it quits.
The couple of more than 20 years met while filming The Crossing in 1990. They married in 2003 and have two sons – 8-year-old Charles and 6-year-old Tennyson.
Their relationship has appeared to have survived ups and downs over the years.
Crowe was famously linked to actress Meg Ryan on the set of Proof of Life back in 2000. Ryan was still married to Dennis Quaid at the time while Crowe was said to be in a relationship with Spencer.
Then, this past June, Spencer was photographed getting cozy with her pro dance partner on Australia’s Dancing with the Stars. Rumors were silenced, however, when Crowe and Spencer were seen days later being affectionate at Los Angeles International Airport.
Crowe’s rep has yet to responded to the split reports.
