DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO GO
Student Shoots Himself in Front of Class
FAIRMONT, North Dakota (CNN) — A North Dakota student who shot himself in the head in front of his classmates on Thursday is in the hospital.
Investigators say the freshman walked into his algebra class, apologized, then pulled the trigger.
It’s still unclear what the apology was about.
The school immediately went on lockdown and classes were later canceled for the day.
No one else was injured.
The boy was conscious on the way to the hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
His friends say he was well-liked, loved to play guitar and they don’t believe he was a victim of bullying.
Grief counselors will be on hand at the school to help students cope with what happened.
