Prayers for Roger: Stefani’s Update (10/11)

Fox 8 News in the Morning anchor Stefani Schaefer on Thursday shared a positive update with her Facebook fans about her husband’s recovery.

Back in April, Roger fell from scaffolding and suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Since then, Stefani has included viewers in his recovery, especially because of the outpouring support they’ve shown for Stefani and her family.

Read below for a portion of Stefani’s message to her Facebook fans.

“Hi there… off work today because my kids are off school and I wanted to spend the day with them. When I am off, I get so many sweet emails from many of you concerned that something is wrong with Roger… so I wanted to let you know that all is good. Roger has had a good week and made some small strides… little accomplishments – I’ll take them! Still major memory deficits – both short and long term, but he seems so much more alert and aware…. and understands some humor, which I think is great. He gives me a little smile and laugh… so I know he knows he “gets it.”
