Teen Killed in Crash, Driver Arrested for OVI
ATTICA, Ohio — A 24-year-old driver was arrested for OVI after a car crash that killed a teenager.
According to the Fremont Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, the victim is Joshua Collins, 19, of Willard.
Collins was driving a Chevy S10 north on CR 23 in Attica, Seneca County, on Saturday around 1:19 a.m.
He stopped at a stop sign, then was hit on the driver’s side by a Chevy Silverado as he started through the intersection of US 224, the Fremont Post said.
Collins was life-flighted to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo where he was pronounced deceased.
An 11-year-old and a 15-year-old in his truck were taken to hospitals with serious and non-life threatening injuries, respectively.
The other driver was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries before his arrest.
Blood results are pending.
