WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, Ohio — An overnight truck fire shut down the ramp from US 422 westbound to I-480 westbound for several hours Thursday morning.

Just after 11 a.m., the Ohio Department of Transportation announced that it had reopened. The left lane of I-271 southbound express lanes, which had also been closed, was reopened.

ODOT said the closures were necessary while crews continued clean-up operations.

Warrensville police said a truck had crashed and caught fire just after 1 a.m., and that the driver was not hurt. Further details were not immediately released.
