CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Browns opened up the regular season at home against Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles and it ended in Browns fashion.

With under two minutes left, the Eagles took the lead and that's where it stayed. Philly won it 17-16.

Rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden and running back Trent Richardson faced off against veteran QB Michael Vick and dominant back LeSean McCoy, but the Browns held their own... to start.

Cleveland was first on the board with a 43-yard field goal from veteran Phil Dawson with 9:12 left in the first quarter.

Weeden completed just three passes on five attempts in the first and Richardson was limited to just four yards.

Take you to the second, and the Eagles came soaring back.

Philly tied it up with a 43-yard field goal and scored the game's first touchdown with just 17 seconds until the half.

Maclin caught an 18-yard pass from Vick to make it 10-3.

At the half, Richardson recorded 25 yards rushing along with Weeden. Eagles' McCoy recorded 50 himself. Weeden was seven for 19 for 68 yards. Vick threw for 209.

Despite a weak passing half and an average ground performance, the Browns stayed competitive.

Cleveland scored on a 42-yard field goal attempt with 4:57 left to play in the third, making it a 10-6 ball game.

With 2:04 left in the third, Haden picked off Vick for a 50-yard interception return putting the Browns in scoring position.

But the Eagles defense forced the Browns to kick a 22-yard field goal to bring the game within one.

The fourth quarter is when things got exciting. After Dawson's FG, D'Qwell Jackson picked off Vick and took it in for a 27-yard return to put the Browns up 16-10 with 13:59 remaining.

The interception was the Eagles' fifth turnover. To add to their woes, Alex Henry missed wide left on a field goal attempt and the Browns took over.

But the Browns ended the game the way Browns fans expect... with a last minute loss.

Vick completed a four-yard touchdown pass to Clay Harbor and Weeden threw an interception and the final seconds on the clock were gone.
