Browns to Recognize Modell on Sunday

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns confirmed former owner Art Modell will be recognized prior to kickoff at the Browns game on Sunday.

Modell died on Thursday morning of natural causes.

The Browns said the recognition was a team decision and that it was not determined by the NFL.

Details on the plans were not immediately released.

Modell owned the team for 35 years, and brought Cleveland its last professional sports championship.

The Browns host the Philadelphia Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
