Alleged Drunk Driver Blames GPS
Jacqueline Kovach, 26, of Broadview Heights.
WESTLAKE, Ohio – A Broadview Heights woman who was allegedly drunk when she drove the wrong way on I-90 blamed the mistake on her GPS.
Capt. Guy Turner with the Westlake Police Department confirmed Jacqueline Kovach, 26, was pulled over near the Columbia Road overpass in Westlake on Aug. 26 around 2:34 a.m.
Police said she had been driving west in the eastbound lanes.
Kovach allegedly admitted she knew she was going the wrong way, but did so because she was following the GPS’ directions.
Her blood-alcohol level was .111 and she was arrested and charged with OVI among other violations.
