CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Indians pulled off a win Saturday evening against the Texas Rangers, 4-3.

The Tribe scored all four runs in the first inning of the game, helping to halt their six-game losing streak. Carlos Santana’s two-run single helped the Indians put runs on the board early in the game. Santana then scored off a ground out to first by Casey Kotchman, bringing their total runs to three. Finally, Michael Brantley scored the Tribe’s fourth run off of John Hannahan’s ground out to second to clinch the game for the Indians.

Two homers and a run off a sacrifice fly ball weren’t enough to shift the game in the Rangers’ favor, with Indians’ pitcher Jeanmar Gomez holding off the visitors.

The Tribe faces the Rangers again Sunday at 1:05 p.m. at Progressive Field.
