CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns released quarterback Seneca Wallace on Friday, according to NFL.com, opening a discussion on whether that guarantees Colt McCoy’s backup status.

Wallace had outplayed McCoy in the final preseason game on Thursday, but that wasn’t the case in the previous preseason matches.

Rumors are circulating the web that the Browns may be interested in free agent backup QB A.J. Feeley, who formerly played with the Eagles and Rams.

FOX8.com is working to learn more information.
