CLEVELAND — The misery continued at Progressive Field on Thursday afternoon. This time it took place under sun-splashed skies while the Navy’s Blue Angels displayed their amazing routines high above Cleveland.

The Oakland A’s posted a 12-7 victory over Manny Acta’s team as starter Justin Masterson was bombarded by Oakland lumber.  Masterson allowed eight runs before being yanked in the 5th inning. He is now 10-11 on the year.

The Tribe tried to claw back from a 10-3 deficit. A Choo single to right in the 6th brought the Indians to within four runs, at 10-6, but the visitors answered with two more runs and the Tribe lost 12-7.

The Indians continue their homestand on Friday night when the Texas Rangers come to town.  The Tribe has won just one game in the current stand, losing two out of three to the Yankees and getting swept over four games by Oakland.
