The Browns and Bears will kick off Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Cleveland Browns stadium as the two teams will mix it up once again in the preseason.

Many of the starters for the Browns will sit this game out, including rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden.   Tonight, Colt McCoy will be under center at the start and play extensively.  The other quarterbacks, Seneca Wallace and Thaddeus Lewis, will see action as coach Shurmur and his staff will face some tough decisions overnight in cutting the roster down to 53 players.

McCoy has had a very solid training camp, driving the Browns to a pair of scoring journeys of 75 or more yards in the preseason. He has claimed his shoulder that was bothering him about 18 months ago has fully healed and he is throwing the football with more authority.

Many players are on the bubble.  There will be tough decisions regarding the wide receiving corp.  Jordan Norwood, one of the guys fighting for a roster spot, spoke earlier this week about the receiving corp in general.

“No question, this group is better than the group a year ago. We have had off-season and OTA’s and those have helped us tremendously,” he said.

Both teams are 2-1 in the preseason.
