Man Robbing Gas Station Leaves Photo ID Behind

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Authorities are searching for a robber who left his photo identification behind at the scene of the crime.

According to the Cleveland Heights Police Department’s Facebook page, Rodney Peterson is wanted for robbing the BP gas station at the corner of Mayfield and Warrensville Road on August 18, 2012.

Police say around 9:00 p.m. that evening Peterson walked into the station and threatened the clerk with a broken bottle before removing and undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

Police say while stealing the cash Peterson left his photo ID on the counter.

According to police, Peterson lives in South Euclid.
