MENTOR, Ohio – More than 300 people were on hand to celebrate the End of Summer Reading Party at Mentor Public Library on August 8.  Summer readers set a new record!

“Thank you and congratulations to everyone who participated in our children’s summer reading program Dream Big, Read,” said Children’s Library Associate Mary Detling. “Last year’s total number of participants was surpassed and 1,296 children signed up this year. A total of 13,496 hours were read!”

Children who completed 15 hours of reading were able to take home a sign which reads “A Library Champion Lives Here” to be displayed in their front yards.
