BARBERTON, Ohio -- A caregiver stole pills from an elderly woman and replaced them with veterinary medicine, the Summit County Sheriff's Office reported.
Amy Williamson, 50, of Barberton, is charged with tampering with drugs, theft and assault.
Deputies began investigating Williamson while she was the primary caregiver of a 77-year-old woman. Inspector Bill Holland said the woman became ill after she consumed the wrong medications.
Williamson is being held in the Summit County Jail.
