Progressive Field Employee Robbed at Gunpoint

CLEVELAND — Authorities are investigating the armed robbery of a Progressive Field employee that took place around 12:20 p.m.

According to Cleveland Police Public Information Officer Jennifer Ciaccia, the victim was walking on Erie Court, between East 9th and East 12th Street, when he was approached by two males on bikes.

Ciaccia says one of the men had a gun and pointed it at the victim while demanding money.

The robbers took $20 from the victim and road off on their bikes.

According to Ciaccia, the suspects are described at black males, believed to be in their 20’s. The victim told police that one man was wearing a dark blue shirt with stripes, while the other individual was wearing a black t-shirt.

Anne Tegan with the Cleveland Indians tells Fox 8 News the victim is a food service employee at Progressive Field.
