Prayers for Roger: Stefani’s Update (8/22)

Stefani Schaefer shared an update Wednesday morning on her husband, Roger’s, condition.

It’s been 16 weeks since Roger fell from 12 feet of scaffolding and suffered a traumatic brain injury. He underwent surgery a few weeks ago to remove some fluid from his brain.

This past weekend, Roger was cleared to go home for a few hours to spend time with his family. Stefani says he has struggled with his memory, but sparked glimmers of hope during his visit.

Then, on Tuesday, Roger showed more cognitive progress.

When Stefani played one of his favorite songs, Hotel California, by the Eagles, Roger sang some of the words. It was an inspiring moment considering just three weeks ago he didn’t recognize the song.
