Reports: Mariah Carey Upset Over “American Idol” Pick Nicki Minaj

Mariah Carey is not happy with the decision to make rapper Nicki Minaj an “American Idol” judge, with sources reportedly saying she was told she would be the show’s only female judge.

According to TMZ, the judge’s panel is still under construction for the show’s 12th season. The site also reports it is unknown what current Judge Randy Jackson’s role will be. It was previously reported in US Weekly Randy Jackson would assume the role of a mentor when the season premieres this winter.

Others reportedly being considered as judges include Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and Enrique Iglesias.
