My Town: Mantua Potato Festival

MANTUA, Ohio – Forget about counting carbs for a weekend and celebrate the spud during the 39th annual Mantua Potato Festival.   Admission is FREE to the festival which runs Friday through Sunday, September 7-9 in Buchert Park on High Street, west of Route 44 in Mantua.

Events include the potato chip eating contest, potato stomp, potato sack race, potato bake-off, mashed potato eating contest, french fry eating contest and the potato parade!

Bands will perform throughout the weekend.  There will also be a raffle, balloon art, duck race and cornhole tournament.

Hours:

• Friday – 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm
• Saturday -11:00 am to midnight
• Sunday – noon to 7:00 pm
