Everyone at Fox 8 was excited when they heard New Day Cleveland was going to have margaritas and guacamole on the show! Executive Chef of Lopez on Lee, Michael Herschman, put David to work smashing up fresh avocados for the guacamole while he mixed together mango margaritas for everyone!

Now that school is back in session, there are some important tips to keep in mind. Brian Newbacher from AAA talked with Kristi about an easy safety checklist to keep children safe while walking home from school.
- Slowing down – Speed limits in school zones are reduced for a reason. A child struck by a vehicle traveling at 25 miles per hour is nearly two-thirds less likely to be killed compared to one struck by a vehicle traveling 10 miles per hour faster.
- Eliminating distractions – Children often cross the road unexpectedly and may emerge suddenly between two parked cars.
- Reverse responsibly – Every vehicle has blind spots. Check for children on the sidewalk, driveway and around your vehicle before slowly backing up.
