Deadly Accident

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a car and two pedestrians.

Troopers say it happened at 1:15 a.m. Sunday on I-90 eastbound near mile post 162.3.

According to the report, the two pedestrians, Antoinette Marie Hamilton, 23, of Lorain, and David E. Latten, 42, of Lorain, were inside a vehicle stopped on the left shoulder of the roadway in the westbound lanes.

The report says Hamilton jumped out of the vehicle, and over the concrete divider wall. Latten followed. That’s when the two were struck by a Chevy Cavalier traveling eastbound.

Hamilton died from her injuries. Latten also suffered incapacitating injuries. His condition is not known at this time.

The oncoming vehicle was driven by Stanley Jacobs, Jr., 19, of Cleveland. There were three passengers in the vehicle. None were injured.

Troopers say their investigation is still pending. Stay with Fox 8 News and Fox8.com for the latest.
