WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A motorcyclist died after colliding with a tractor driven by a 12-year-old boy Sunday, according to the Fremont Patrol Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 12:50 p.m. on TR 92 north of CR 109 in Washington Township. Officers say the 35-year-old male motorcyclist was traveling north on TR 92 when the tractor pulled westbound from a private drive and into its path. The motorcyclist was ejected and taken by life flight to The University of Toledo Medical College where he died from injuries at 3:01 p.m.

The 12-year-old boy was not injured, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. Highway patrol says the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
