PLAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The body of a teen who drowned in Plain Township’s “Central Lake” was pulled from the water on Friday, authorities say.

A friend who had been swimming with the teen told authorities that the young man went under the water in the 7:00 p.m. hour. Dive teams searched until 1:00 a.m. Friday morning but were unable to locate the teen. Search and rescue operations resumed on Friday morning and the body was located.

According to Snyder, the teen’s body has been transported to the Stark County Coroner’s office for an autopsy.
