Jim ‘Mudcat’ Grant Stops by FOX 8

Former Indians player Jim “Mudcat” Grant, who made history when he became the first African-American pitcher to play for the Tribe, and first to win a World Series title with the Minnesota Twins, stopped by Fox 8 News in the Morning on Friday.

Grant will throw out the first pitch at the Akron Aeros game tonight at 7:05, in honor of “Negro Heritage Night.” He’s one of five players being honored at the game. Grant will also be on-hand to sign autographs for fans.
