$18M in Counterfeit Designer Shoes Seized

(CNN) — To the untrained eye, this haul of red-soled footwear may look like the product of luxury French designer, Christian Louboutin.  

But don’t be fooled, because while they may share the same hallmark features, they are fake.  

Since July, more than 20,000 of the impostor designer pumps and sling-backs have been intercepted by Los Angeles customs agents.  

The five shipments from China had a potential retail value of $18 million.
