MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio — A copy of a search warrant issued following the arrest of Nate Summerfield on Wednesday details the items taken from the accused killer that will eventually be used as evidence.

According to the search warrant obtained by Fox 8 News, the following items were in Summerfield’s possession at the time of his arrest:

  • A plastic bag with a black tri-fold wallet, a citizen watch, and an LG cell phone & battery
  • Brown boots
  • A pair of blue jeans, a grey t-shirt, a pair of white socks, white underwear
  • $500 cash

Summerfield currently sits in the Medina County jail awaiting an extradition hearing set for 10:30 a.m. on Friday.

The hearing will determine when Summerfield ultimately gets extradited to North Carolina to face murder charges in the death of Lynn Jackenheimer.

Even though Summerfield is in custody, the investigation that led to his capture continues to see if he had any accomplices.

“We’re going to look at everything,” said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott.

Jackenheimer’s body, which had been strangled and stabbed, was discovered in mid-July near the Outer Banks in North Carolina where the couple had vacationed with her two children.

Summerfield drove the children back to relatives in Ohio before going into hiding.

“Anybody would be nervous in this situation,” said Bob Campbell, a lawyer whose been appointed to represent Summerfield at the extradition hearing on Friday.

Campbell said he will talk to his client again before they decide whether to fight the extradition to North Carolina.

Summerfiled was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals at a hotel in Wadsworth.

He had been on the run for the past five-and-a-half weeks after admitting to a family member that he killed Jackenheimer, his longtime girlfriend.
