Jimmy Kimmel Pops the Question on Trip

(CNN) — Congratulations to Jimmy Kimmel and Molly McNearney.

The “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” host reportedly popped the question to his bride-to-be during their recent trip to South Africa, according to People.

“Thanks for your kind congratulations, my nuptials are impending as we speak. say a prayer for @mollymcnearney — she has a rough road ahead,” Kimmel tweeted on Wednesday.

McNearney, who describes herself on Twitter as a “co-head writer for jimmy kimmel live and lover of fat babies,” didn’t make mention of her engagement on the social networking site, but she did share this: “How much better would ‘Shark Week’ be if the sharks were in the pool at ‘Bachelor Pad?’ ” (Well said, Molly.)

Kimmel has two children with his ex-wife Gina, and he dated Sarah Silverman on and off before splitting for good in 2009. He and McNearney reportedly got together later that year.
