My Town: Nature of Metal Exhibition Opens in Russell Township

RUSSELL TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Don’t miss your chance to meet the artists behind the latest Geauga Parks District community art exhibition.

The Nature of Metal exhibition kicks off with an open house and meet the artists reception on Sunday, August 26 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The West Woods Nature Center, 9465 Kinsman Road (Rt. 87) in Russell Township.

The University of Akron Steel Drum Band will provide the musical backdrop for the event.  Guests at the reception will get the first look at the projects and be able to purchase them.

“In addition to pieces in the exhibition, smaller pieces of handmade artwork by Nature of Metal artists will also be available for purchase in the nature store,” said Teresa Runion, special events coordinator.
