Clerk to Robber, ‘Get Out And Go Get a Job’

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio — Authorities in Willoughby are searching for a man who robbed two different businesses in the city in less than 10 hours.

According to a post on the Willoughby Police Facebook page, the man first robbed a BP gas station on August 8th, at 9:16 p.m. Early the next morning the suspect tried robbing the Convenient Food Mart at Vine and 343rd Street. The second attempted robbery occurred at 6:30 a.m.

According to detectives with the Eastlake Police Department, the man told the clerk at each robbery that he was in possession of a gun. No gun was ever shown at either robbery.

The suspect made off with $120 at the first location, but at the second location he made off with no money.

Detectives tell Fox 8 News the clerk at the Convenient store refused to hand over any cash and told the suspect to, “get out and go get a job.”

Eastlake Police are asking that anyone with information contact Det. Christopher Bowersock at 440- 951-1400.
