My Town: Bra Collection in Ravenna

RAVENNA, Ohio – The Ravenna Athletic Center (RAC) will be collecting new and clean, gently used bras as part of the The Kent Celtic Club’s cancer awareness event, Bras Across the Crooked River.  During the past two years, people have donated more than 3,700 bras for the project.

Drop off bras of all colors and sizes during the month of August at the RAC, 530 North Freedom Street.  The bras will be donated to The Battered Women’s Shelter of Summit and Medina Counties, The Violence Project, and Safer Futures.

There will also be three displays in the fall to raise breast cancer awareness at the following locations:
