Motorcyclist Killed in Canton Crash

CANTON, Ohio — The Canton Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that happened early Thursday morning.

Sgt. Cynthia Goldsmith tells Fox 8 News that the crash occurred just after midnight at 49th Street and Cleveland Avenue.

The motorcyclist allegedly slammed into the back of an unoccupied van, which was disabled on the side of the road.

Investigators say that alcohol is not suspected in the crash.

Further details about the accident, including the deceased person’s identity, were not immediately released.
