My Town: Toast of Ohio in Sandusky

SANDUSKY, Ohio – Raise your glass to Sandusky’s wine history during the Toast of Ohio Wine Heritage Festival on Friday and Saturday, August 10 and 11. Organizers say the festival celebrates the fact that the area was the largest wine-producing region prior to Prohibition.
 
On Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., stop by three wine-tasting events at three locations:  The Merry-Go-Round Museum, The Maritime Museum of Sandusky, and The Sandusky Greenhouse.  Tickets are $20.

Keep your glass from Friday night and use it for free admission on Saturday!

Saturday events take place at the Sandusky Bay Pavilion (605 East Water Street) from noon to 8:00 p.m.  Sample wine from Ohio wineries and enjoy gourmet food and live music.  Admission is $5 which includes a wine glass and two tastings.
