For the first time in NFL history, a female referee will officiate as a line judge.

Shannon Eastin, 42, will take the field Thursday night when the Green Bay Packers take on the San Diego Chargers in a preseason opener.

She’s got 16 years of experience, and says officiating at a professional level is her “dream.”
