Bridgestone Golf Champ One of the Youngest in History
AKRON, Ohio — This year’s Champion of the Bridgestone Invitational golfing tournament is also one of the youngest in its history.
Keegan Bradley, 26, took home the top prize Sunday afternoon, topping Jim Furyk and Steve Stricker.
Tiger Woods was the youngest winner at 23-years-old in 1999.
The winner came down to the 18th hole, where Furyk needed a bogey to take home bragging rights. He wasn’t able to seal the deal on a putt, lending Bradley the win.
The Bridgestone purse is $8.5 million this year, with the winner pocketing $1.4 million.
This is Bradley’s second season on the PGA tour. He finished the Bridgestone 6-under-64.
