ATLANTA (CNN) — The widow of a man gunned down outside his son’s suburban Atlanta day-care center has been indicted on murder, perjury and racketeering charges, prosecutors announced Thursday.
The eight counts against Andrea Sneiderman also include insurance fraud, making false statements and attempted murder, DeKalb County District Attorney Robert James said. The charges come nearly five months after another man, Hemy Neuman, was sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing Sneiderman’s husband.
Neuman was Andrea Sneiderman’s supervisor at work when the killing occurred in November 2010. Prosecutors and defense lawyers both accused her of having an affair with Neuman, an allegation she denied under oath during his trial.
Neuman’s lawyers argued that their client was mentally ill and that Sneiderman had “manipulated” him into killing her husband. Prosecutors said after Neuman’s sentencing that they were reviewing whether to bring charges against her.
