My Town: First Friday in Canton

CANTON, Ohio – It only happens once a month and you don’t want to miss this month’s First Friday celebration in Canton.  The theme for August 3 is Carnival of Art.  Experience the variety of art and music in the Canton Arts District on 4th Street NW from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

First Friday “First Stop” with About Magazine from 5:30 p.m. to  6:30 p.m. will be held downtown at the Repository Building and will feature live music, wine and cheese.

Street performers, face painters, organ grinder, balloon artist, stilt walkers and magician will add to the carnival atmosphere.

You can catch a free movie at The Canton Palace Theatre and enjoy more than a dozen of live music acts at the various First Friday stops.

From 7:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. you can have your picture taken in the carnival photo booth!
