3 Arrested in Shooting Death of 14-Year-Old

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police announced on Thursday the arrests of three teenagers wanted on aggravated murder warrants in connection with the shooting death of a 14-year-old girl.

Lataevia Williams was shot in the neck and later died when one or more shooters fired into a crowd of people outside of a home in the 1300 block of East 125th Street.

It happened around 12:40 a.m. on July 28.

Four other people were hit with bullets and were taken to the hospital.

Witnesses said they saw two cars pull up to the home and an argument began that was followed by gunshots.

Marcus Anderson, 19, of Cleveland, was charged with murder and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday morning.

Another 19-year-old man from Cleveland was arrested on an aggravated murder warrant in Marion County, Ohio.  He is awaiting extradition to Cleveland.

A 16-year-old male who was arrested was being held in the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center.
