Prayers for Roger: Stefani’s Update (7/29)
Fox 8′s Stefani Schaefer shared an update about her husband Roger.
Roger fell 12 feet from a scaffolding in April and is in the midst of his recovery.
Stefani gave this update on her Facebook fan page on July 29th:
It’s been a little over a week since my last update. I have to admit, we didn’t have a good few days, and I found it just too hard and painful to write. This journey has taken me all over the map of emotions. Last week, I was talking to Roger and called him my husband… and he said to me, “How could we be married if we just met?” He didn’t have any memories of us together… and even didn’t recognize his mother last weekend. It was very tough on all of us. Physically, Roger continues to make huge strides. I am blown away with how well he is doing in just a couple of weeks of intense therapy. This week, doctors are going to perform a surgery to add a shunt which would drain the cerebral fluid – and we are praying that could help his cognitive funtion. God has seen us through each day… and now more than ever, I need God’s strength to carry us through. I wanted to share with you something that I am participating in and would love to invite all of you. Everyone is going through something in their lives that they need special prayers for… and a family friend has put together a day and time for all of us to pray together. It’s called a Million Prayers and it’s a local effort for pray together for 30 seconds… no matter where you are at the time. It’s This Wednesday, August 1 at 3EST. So… all of you have to do… is say your own personal prayer or just have a good old talk with Jesus… and we’ll all be praying together – uniting at the same time.
