Indians Lose to Minnesota Twins 5-1

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota — The Cleveland Indians weren’t able to pull off a win against the Minnesota Twins Sunday. The team lost the last game of a three-game series 5-1.

Both teams didn’t score until the fourth inning, with the Tribe nabbing their only run of the game and the Twins scoring on a two-run homer to center field. The Twins brought their run total to three in the sixth on a wild pitch by Indians pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez.

Th Tribe’s fate was sealed after Minnesota brought scored two more runs in the seventh inning, and clinching a series sweep of the Indians.

The Indians are now 6-11 since the All-Star break, and 50-52 overall.

The team takes on the Kansas City Royals Tuesday at Kauffman Stadium at 8:10 p.m.
