Recycling Plant Fire Injures Workers
CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Fire Department says a blaze inside a ammunition recycling machine injured three workers at a plant on Bradley Road Tuesday.
One injured worker was burned in the ordeal and transported to MetroHealth Medical Center for burns to his face, chest and arms after his shirt caught fire. His condition is currently unknown.
Authorities while battling the blaze, the recycling machine began firing bullets. Workers were forced to take cover behind a wall to dodge the bullets as emergency crews battled the flames.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
