Homeowner Escapes House Fire Through Window

EASTLAKE, Ohio — A house fire forced the owner to escape through a second story window in Eastlake Monday afternoon.

Emergency crews say the fire broke out shortly after 2:30 p.m. They say two construction workers also inside the home were injured in the ordeal, but declined medical treatment.

The homeowner was transported to a local hospital.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and the home appears to be a total loss.
