Arresting Officer of Colorado Shooting Suspect Speaks Out

AURORA, Colorado — The arresting officer of Colorado theater shooting suspect James Holmes is a northeast Ohio native.

Lieutenant Jad Lanigan of the Aurora Police Department is the son of WJMI morning radio talk show host John Lanigan. Lieutenant Lanigan was the commanding officer on the scene and one of the first to respond to emergency calls from the theater.
