Suspect Steals Police Cruiser from Crime Scene

COLUMBUS (WBNS / CNN) — A robbery suspect in Columbus, Ohio tried to get away from police by stealing one of their cruisers.

He was one of two suspects wanted in connection with a burglary at an apartment Tuesday morning.

When police approached the scene, shots were fired and a 21-year-old man was killed.

It’s not clear who shot the victim, the suspects or police.

That’s when the guy hopped into the cruiser and took off, as police fired shots at the car.

He didn’t get far.  

Police arrested him after he crashed into another apartment building.

Police are still looking for the second suspect.
