Plane Crash Injures Student Pilot

LOUISVILLE, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a plane crash that injured a student pilot Tuesday evening.

Authorities say the student was practicing taxiing and lost control of the homemade aircraft at 9 p.m. at the Sunset Strip Airport in Louisville, Ohio. The plane reached about 100 feet into the air before nose-diving into the ground.

The student pilot was taken to Akron General Hospital for his injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
