Alliance Man Tells Dispatcher, ‘I Just Strangled My Girlfriend’
ALLIANCE, Ohio – Authorities received a phone call early Tuesday morning from a man claiming he had just murdered his girlfriend.
Alliance Police provided Fox 8 News with a 911 call made by Randy Ring, 58, of Alliance, just after 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
On the call Ring calmly tells the dispatcher, “I just strangled my girlfriend.”
According to police, Ring admitted to the murder which occurred at 25 South Arch Street, Apartment 4.
Ring told police that he murdered his girlfriend, Willa Taylor-Hillman, 48, of Alliance, after an argument.
Ring later went on to tell the dispatcher that he was sitting on the edge of the bed next to Taylor-Hillman’s body as he was making the call.
Police arrived within minutes and Ring was arrested. He was later booked on a single count of murder and remains housed at the Stark County Jail.
According to Lt. John Jenkins with the Alliance Police Department, Ring has a 1:00 p.m. video arraignment scheduled for Wednesday July 11, 2012 in Alliance Municipal Court.
Jenkins says that Ring has a pending felony domestic violence charge in Columbiana County stemming from a June 28, 2012 incident involving Taylor-Hillman.
